PDX Parks/Playgrounds

Overall I rate this park 10/10, convenient, safe for kids and cars, lovely patrons to interact with and plenty of visibility. It’s also a newer park and very well kept. Honestly this park does not have any negative attributes, it's just awesome.

Overall we rate this park another 10/10. Our only complaint, besides the poison oak, is that it is a bit of a trek for us living in North Portland, not the park's fault. A truly beautiful park. Its size does make it a bit hard to keep an eye on both kids, especially when busy but the gate helps with that anxiety. 

Overall we rate this park a 7/10 but do enjoy going, my expectations are just lower. Mostly because though there is seemingly a lot to do, the layout is awkward for everyone and there aren’t actually a lot of attainable play structures for younger kids. Not a total bust by any means but not as nice as Spring Garden.

Overall we rate this park a 9/10. Love this park because of the convenience. It is clean, always easy parking during the week in the morning. Lots of space to ride bike and run. Mostly set in so I don’t worry much about traffic. NW is very well kept and as seen here the Fall is stunning here.

Overall we rate this park another 9/10 only because unlike a park like Spring Garden, there isn’t a lot of extra open space to explore. It is a smaller, more intimate park, which has its own perks but with the energy of my kid, more open areas does us good.  I prefer to park on the street off of SE Salmon Way and SE 69th so that I am right at the base of the stairs. 

Overall we rate this park a 9/10 because we went, and will go in the future, more for the hike than for the convenience and comfort of a park. This is definitely more of a hike/exploring trip though the path is simple and straight forward the kids were in full rain gear and boots so as to comfortably play in the mud and water.The trail was perfect for the kids to run freely and explore.

Overall we rate this park 8/10 because sometimes it is a bit sketch and the playground itself isn’t life changing. With that said! Pier Park is a wonderful park for exploring without the stress of your kid getting lost or being too close to cars. This simple park has its place and makes for a fun open space to explore. It’s a wonderful park to run (like for adults too) and a huge plus to watch the trains.

Overall we rate this park a 8/10 because though large, there isn’t a lot of open space or a field like, which I really prefer so that the kids can run free with lots of visibility. The bathroom is fine but a ways down from the playground itself and ultimately I am just not stoked on paying for parking for a playground. BUT! This is located in such close proximity to the Rose Garden.
